Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) supports students in developing strong positive values and equipping them with qualities that will help them in later life. We therefore actively encourage students to take part in the DofE Award, which many do each year, with great success.

About the DofE

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a nationally recognised personal development scheme that involves students in a non-competitive programme of activities encouraging young people to undertake exciting, constructive, challenging and enjoyable activities in their free time.

The programme includes a community service activity, such as a recycling programme, as well as a team expedition on foot, bicycle, canoe or horseback. The scheme also aims to encourage students to pursue an individual skill and physical activity such as sports, dance, music, photography, computing or fitness.

How to get involved.

If you have any questions with regards to the DofE programme please speak to Mr Knott.
