Student Leadership

At the heart of our School community are our students. To help us develop and shape the school to be the best it can be, we actively seek to hear their voice and provide them with appropriate opportunities to have input into our decision-making. This in turn allows individuals to have the opportunity to develop the important skills of teamwork and leadership.

House Captains

Each House is led by a team of House Captains and Vice House Captains whose responsibilities include representing the school at school and public events, coordinating their teams entries into each competition as well as helping to run many of the events.

Student Council

The Student Council has representatives from each tutor group and they meet regularly. The student council helps share students' ideas, interests, and concerns with the teachers of the school. They also look at specific areas, for example the environment or school provisions. The council work closely with the House Captains and their peers in the year group to represent the voice of many.

Student Surveys

Sometimes we will seek the views of ALL students directly, rather than through the Student Council. This is typically done where we want to be sure that we have heard each student’s experience of the school.
